Itinerary
Your Marangu Kilimanjaro Rainforest Day Hike begins in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
Drive to Marangu Gate, located on the southeastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After completing registration and park formalities, meet your professional mountain guide and begin the hike.
The trail climbs gradually through lush montane rainforest filled with giant ferns, mosses, flowers, and tall trees. Keep watch for birds, blue monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys along the route.
Continue uphill to Mandara Hut, situated at approximately 2,700 meters. Enjoy your picnic lunch and time to rest before beginning the descent.
